Companies, affiliate marketers and independent bloggers alike are always on the lookout for tricks and tools which can help them get the upper hand – which is also why we are here today. Let’s take a look at several guidelines and tactics which can help you rank better even without to-the-letter SEO optimization.

1. Audience Targeting

The best way to approach your audience is to know exactly who you are looking for. Every …

Andrew Hansen has released his third and final case study looking at the results of one of his Rankings Institute students. In case you missed my previous posts, the Rankings Institute is a members-only site that teaches an 8-week intensive SEO course.

Students learn a variety of cutting-edge (completely white-hat) strategies both for optimizing sites for search engines (especially Google) and the correct way to build backlinks in the post Penguin and Panda landscape.

These strategies have allowed students who have completed the course to have sites that have gone from 0 to over 2,000 visitors per day, and earn between …

In my previous post, I talked about Andrew Hansen’s Rankings Institute (RI), a members-only 8-week coaching course on Search Engine Optimization techniques for 2014 and beyond.

That post had a link to a video that explained two techniques you can use to radically improve how your sites rank. If SEO is something you’re interested in then check out the post or, if you want to skip that, you can skip straight to the first video here.

Second Rankings Institute Case Study

Hansen has released the second of his case studies looking at the successes achieved by members. This time it’s the turn of Ennis, who has taken a new blog …

I was one of the lucky ones to join Andrew Hansen’s and Alex Miller’s Rankings Institute earlier this year. If you’ve read this blog, you’ll know I rate Hansen’s courses highly. The Rankings Institute turned out to be another top-class course. The doors were only open to new members for about a week.

If you’ve not heard of it before, which wouldn’t surprise me as it had a bit of an underground launch back in January, the Rankings Institute is an 8 week coaching program with a private members area which takes people from start to finish through the process of getting quality search engine traffic that will last, in 2014.

One way to same time when optimizing your site is to call in a professional SEO service to review your site. Most services will provide an SEO quote if you ask them and you can then decide if that’s the route you want to go with your site.

An SEO service will do what you do normally when you want to optimize your site, but they’ll also be able to provide advice on how to make certain aspects of SEO more effective. You’ll be getting access to their expertise and they will simply know a lot more about the topic than you. They’ll know what startegies work now rater than what worked …

Have you come across the term online reputation management before? What exactly is your online reputation, who determines it and why would you need to manage your reputation anyway? The obvious answer to who who determines your reputation is Google as they rank your websites according to certain criteria which effectively determine what your online reputation is. The higher your site ranks, the more reputable it is in their eyes (and in the eyes of the people who are reading the pages of results).

So if your site is languishing low down in the listings, Google doesn’t thinks the site is particularly reputable. Obviously, you can improve things my increasing the number …

UPDATE: SENukeX TNG Is The Current Version of The Software

SENuke Xcr is now available!

If you’ve been on my list for a while or you’ve visited this website, then you know that in the past I’ve been a fan of Areeb Bajwa’s software for automating your search engine optimization efforts – SENukeX. It builds SEO backlinks to a variety of site types including Press Release Sites, Social Bookmarking and Social Networking Sites, Web 2.0 Sites, Article Directories, Forums, etc.

Well, SENukeX just became obsolete. In a few days I’ll stop using it and you’ll probably want to stop using it too.

To find out why, watch this video (it’s only 3 …

A while ago I asked my email list what topics they’d like me to write about. One of the top requests was on how to drive traffic to their websites. So with that in mind…

What Is Link Building?

Websites live or die on the web traffic and site visitors they get. And to get that traffic, webmasters have to promote their sites. There are various ways to do site promotion, which I’ll look at below, but they all revolve around one purpose: getting backlinks to your website.

And what is link building? It’s simply a link that appears on someone else’s site that points back to your site. Link building techniques …
